Boost Your Long And Short Term Memory With Memory Games

Have you tried to recall a number by repeating it over and over until you memorize it correctly? This is possible on your active memory; however, after a few hours dialing the phone number, you might have already forgotten it.

This usually happen because the phone number has not been stored in our long term memory, but instead into the active memory or what is called short term memory. The short term memory can be very useful for quickly remembering some information such as telephone numbers, but unfortunately it can store bits of information for very short period of time.

If you want to retain information for longer period of time, you have to link the new data to the data that you already know. That is how you store the information in your long term memory and thus remember them for longer time.

There are numerous techniques that are quite laborious to improve our memory. However, you can also have techniques that are both funny and beneficial. Here you can find several games such as puzzles that can practice your memory.

One way to recall information that you need to retain to your long-term memory is to create a story that associates the particular items or data you need to recall, making them easier to remember. The idea here is that it is easier to recall more data when a fact or data is associated with another idea.

To help make this technique even more powerful you can try to create a mental image of the ideas. This will help you to retain the information to your long term memory, because pictures are easier to remember.

Practicing story-telling in a group is fun. You can practice by laying 10 or more objects on the ground and try to remember them. Simply ask each member in the group to take and add to the story by adding one object.

After you finish adding all the objects in the story you can take them out of the room. After that check to see who can remember most objects. Finally, tell the story as a group by asking each member to tell his or her part. There is no doubt that the group will remember the story and hence all the objects associated.

Another mind-practicing game is the pexeso. This game is a matching pairs like tiles or cards from a group, when one of each group is not visible.

The game can be played with a set of tiles which has pairs of symbols or images. You can play the game using half a pack of cards, but ensure that you have pair of each card i. e 2 queens, 2 jacks, 2 aces . .. . etc.

Start by placing out 24 cards but make sure those 24 cards is composed of 12 matched pairs. Once face down, move the cards around so that you will not know where any card is placed.

Turn one card one at a time and look at the number or the picture, and then turn it down again. You can repeat this process until you turn over a tile that matches a tile you turned earlier. Now, find the card's pair by recalling from earlier where it is placed. When you located a pair, remove them from the set. You can also devise your own games but you should be sure that they are really mind-practicing games such as puzzles and solving problems.

These kind of games help you to exercise your memory and your brain. Therefore, the more you practice these kind of games the sharper your memory will become.

five easy ways to integrate NLP Hypnosis into your everyday persuasion skills

By Vince Scot
Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP comes from the disciplines which influenced the early development of this science. NLP began as an exploration of the relationship between neurology, linguistics, and observable speech patterns of behaviour. The basic concept of NLP can be deemed the same as what is currently known as "cognitive science", this being an interdisciplinary study combining linguistics, psychology, anthropology, philosophy, neurology and computer science (or cybernetics). The founders of NLP and the persons surrounding them all had knowledge of one or more of those fields.
The early NLP research community incorporated the use of linguists, philosophers and psychotherapists at the time. Anthropologists have long known that mirroring body language when in conversation tends to gain excellent results when trying to persuade a friend to agree with you. It builds rapport and achieves a similar mind-set. Using similar speech when engaged in conversation does exactly the same thing. NLP is simple, effective, subtle and not only puts people at ease but also on the same wave length. Just by planting the seed of a thought you are suggesting to a person that you are in complete agreement with them and others find this engaging.

By the simple use of a person's name you immediately personalise your request and this also grabs the full attention of the subject you are speaking to. Anthropologists know that this works extremely well on the human mind. Dog trainers know that this works in the same way when you are training a puppy. Dogs immediately recognise and respond to their names.

Here are the five easy ways to integrate NLP Hypnosis into your everyday persuasion skills
  1. Decide what you want to say in an evenly paced, low pitched voice. This will gain the full attention of the listener whether you are face to face or speaking on the telephone.
  2. Paraphrasing what a speaker says is another powerful persuasion tool in NLP terms. People mostly use the same descriptive words when talking and in order for you to persuade another person to do something you can use the same phrases when speaking back to them. A trendy expression at the moment is awesome. So for instance you were trying to persuade your friend to accompany you to the cinema to see the latest cinematic release you could say "Johnny, I heard the new movie screening at the Rio is awesome, would you like to go see it on Thursday?"
  3. Anthropologists will testify that mirroring the other person's body language, stance and maintaining eye contact becomes so natural that the other person will not be aware that you are using similar body language to them and instantly and subconsciously this will establish rapport.
  4. By the simple use of a person's name you immediately personalise your request and this also grabs the full attention of the subject you are speaking to.
  5. Finding common interests is a wonderful ice breaker when meeting new people, whether it is cultural interests, a liking for travel or the same kind of car or even having children the same age, people respond to having common ground and similar experiences.

Use all of the five ways and practice, practice, practice. You will find all of these to be effective and powerful persuasion tools.

How to Create a Mindset of Abundant Wealth

When most people are looking for self improvement tips on how to make more money in their lives, they are looking for detailed plans that they can use to immediately get started and build real wealth in their lives. However, as most people that have built wealth know, you have to change your mindset first, if you are really going to make much of a difference in your financial life.
Self improvement gurus for years have told how important it is to do this, to create a mindset of abundant wealth, yet most people will tend to ignore this advice and then wonder why things are not working out the way that they would want it to.
If you are serious about using self improvement tips to manifest abundant wealth, then you have to be ready to have the right mindset to make this achievable.
What are some tips that you can use to attract abundant wealth in YOUR life?
1. You have to know that there is no limit to what you can attract into your life.
Take the example of Sir Richard Branson, the English entrepreneur and billionaire. He did not go to the fanciest of colleges, in fact he dropped out. And still, he was able to make an obscene amount of money and have a good time doing it. In fact, you can still see him doing fun things all of the time, breaking the stereotype of having to be a nerdy type in order to create wealth.
2. You have to be someone that wants to live, rather than to be 'safe.'
A lot of people will hold themselves back from EVER taking a chance at making something happen in their life for the fear of losing their security. You have to be able to take risks now and again if you truly want to be able to attract wealth into your life, and quite often, you will find that there is much less risk than you might have assumed. All you have to do is to gain the proper knowledge and you can easily find ways to make more money in less time and with less energy that what you are currently doing.
3. You have to be able to create plans that you can then put into play.
Without a real definite plan, what you desire is no more than a wish or a hope that something will happen. Although it might sound nice, we all know that hope alone is not enough to really create the kind of change that you crave and to manifest money into your life and make things more like the way that you want them to be. Nothing is going to just fall into your lap, and if you want to attract more money, then you have to make some real plans.

The subconcious mind power creates our reality!

The phrase mind power and the unconscious mind power are described in many different ways. In the psychosomatic sense mind power is defined as the ability to have emotions, imagination, memory, and will; and subconscious mind power is labeled as part of the natural individual’s personality in which mental processes function with no consciousness under regular waking conditions.
The mind is similar to a constantly flowing spring however a natural spring cannot send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening, nor yield both salt water and fresh. So it is with the mind and its thoughts; it cannot equally think negative and positive thoughts at the same time. One has to rule the other.
Since the mind reflects habitual thoughts, it is therefore our responsibility to influence our mind and brain with positive emotions, thoughts and energy as the dominating factors in our mind. Mind power is beyond positive thinking or brain power, it is thinking than believing what you think that will manifest your reality. Since this mind power is power of thought and beliefs, and these thoughts and beliefs will create the outcome of your now, you will want to stay aware to the reflections you are thinking.
Mind power is a dual system that includes your power of thought(brain) and your subconscious mind. We all have subconscious mind power; it can be as small as smiling at your boss in the hopes of improving the odds of acquiring a raise. It can be the way you unconsciously handle a situation whether appropriately or not based on your thoughts and beliefs. The power of the subconscious mind comes from the thoughts and beliefs aquired through the years since the day of birth. It can also be influenced by our habits. And when you think about it, it is actually how our lives are shaped, because whatever kind of results you are seeing into your life are the production of the deep throughts and believes you have in your subcontious mind. Your mind power and your subconscious mind work collectively and they shape your reality.
In other words your subconscious mind power is similar to fertile soil that consents to any seed planted inside it. Your habitual thoughts and beliefs are the seeds which are being repeatedly sown and they will eventually produce a crop. So if you plant weeds you will grow weeds, if you plant fruit, you will obtain fruit. You reap what you sow. Now the conscious mind is the gardener, and it is the mind power to decide on what reaches our inner garden- the subconscious
